Intro to Advanced Manufacturing

Description

This 80 hour course covers various topics on Advanced Manufacturing and the opportunity to receive industry-recognized certifications. 

 

Course consists of 40 hours of Amatrol Curriculum that covers various topics on Advanced Manufacturing such as: 

  • Equipment safety
  • Hand tools
  • Measurement
  • Print reading
  • Mechanical, fluid, pneumatic, and electrical power
  • Robot operations and programming
  • Lean production concepts.

 

Universal Robot operator training provides 24 hours hands-on activities on the UR robot.

 

Students will have programmed the robot several times to perform common tasks, including the operation of common peripherals (conveyors, sensors, grippers).

 

Students will be able to optimize a pick and place program, perform palletization operations, understand safety concepts, and know the additional resources.   

 

NFPA 70e Electrical Safety Certification is 8 hours of comprehensive training on electrical safety in the workplace, focusing on the standards outlined in the latest edition of NFPA 70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace. 

 

OSHA10 General Certification is 8 hours of foundational knowledge of occupational safety and health standards appropriate for general industry careers.
